1: Setting yourself apart


One important aspect to branding is setting your company apart from the competition.

To set your company apart from others, don’t just be “that coffee shop on the corner” be Starbucks, or the hardware store outside of town you’re the giant orange Home Depot.

You are also trying to create mindspace in the mind of the consumer that will make them remember your company and use and recommend your business rather than your competition.

Starbucks doesn’t have the best coffee in the world, or even close. They are one of the largest cafe operators in the world.

Homedepot doesn’t stock the best quality hardware products, yet they are one of the largest hardware stores.

There are many elements which make a business successful, but one of the main things is a strong brand.
